I have not personally met Mr. Turner. However I have seen the improvement of the Arts Department and the commitment of these teachers. I have a student in the band. The excitement level for the upcoming year was more than I have ever seen with the band program. I would hope that the decision of Mr Turner is not based off personality issues, because the results of these teachers talent and dedication is remarkable.

I'm a retired JeffCo teacher. Truly, the more things change the more they stay the same. The JeffCoEd Admin. cabal looks after its own... . Now you know why Trussville, Leeds (and soon Gardendale) left.

Mr. Triola is a very beloved teacher. His sister is Mrs. Kristen Reid, my tenth grade Emglish teacher. She is an amazing woman who always looks out for her students. I have no doubt in my mind that her brother is the same way. It is simply unjust and not moral to fire a teacher without a qualified reason. Mr. Triola deserves one of two things: to get his job back, or to be given a legitimate reason for his firing.

He was like my dad !!! Too encouraging to not fight for someone like that, and honestly the program just wouldn't be the same without those two !!

Please listen to the students and parents that appreciate a GOOD TEACHER, They are not only doing "what they supposed to do" but they invest their time adn care about the students life. They love their profession and their students. Why would you want to take that away from our school?

My son has done nothing but say great things about Mr. Triola. He communicates well with the students and he is a role model they can turn to. And tell me why you want to get rid of that?

Quit letting politics dictate education. Our children are not pawns, nor are they robots to be programmed. Administration shoulf get out of the way when true learning is happening.

They are great teachers and they don't need to be let go, so many students love them and are rally mad about them being let go.

Obviously there is more to this than meets the eye. But the community response is a total validation that these 3 teachers were doing something right. Unfortunately public education does not use emotion or community input when it comes to making a budget. I hope these 3 teachers don't lose heart in their careers and take this petition as a lesson that they are effective, engaging, and meaningful to the community.
