I can't think of someone better suited to teaching high school theater than Brandon Triola. He's made a true impact on his students.

I was very disheartened to hear that the principal did not even have the decency to notify these teachers before posting the job openings online.

Proud of these students for the fight they are putting into this. Proud of the teachers for how they are handling it with grace and passion. I hope the "power" has the ears to hear. #fortriola

As a fine arts educator myself, this is such a sad situation for all those involved -- There is no reason for two educators held in high regard should be let go for no tangible reason. The fine arts are so important. Let's start treating our fine arts educators with the respect they deserve.

Mr. Bearden was there for me through everything. I look up to him as a mentor, an excellent teacher, and a father figure. I could tell him anything and talk about anything and he would help me through it. Not once did he ever tell me he didn't have time to help me through any of my problems. He was there for me no matter what. I have never had a stronger bond with a teacher before in my life. Please, for the sake of all of us kids, bring our teachers back!!

Our daughter graduated from a Jefferson County School and has earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in college because of what she was allowed to experience in high school. We've known Mr. Triola for about 15 years and he has done wonderful things in the past few years for PVHS Fine Arts Department. I urge you to reconsider your decision.

Trying to silence our kids on a stand they believe in is going against their constitutional rights. These rights do not stop at the school doors. The wrong educators have been let go. Mr. Turner deserves the pink slip.

Drama Teacher Brandon Triola has shown the ability to grow a theatre department in small town Alabama but has also clearly made an impact on the life of every student who has encountered him. He is now being dismissed without cause and without explanation. The position isn't being cut - just the teacher.

If there is no Mr. Bearden as band director for my son's freshman year ...We are done...Nice Move Jefferson county...school board .when will students matter. Time to move to a county where students can excell in the Arts and Academics.
