I think that what is happening is so wrong. Mr Bearden is a teacher who truly cares about his kids even beyond being their teacher. He is a mentor and these kids look up to him. My child is one of those kids. She cannot wait to get to work with him when she is in the9th grade. This is a very bad decision on the part of the school. This cannot and will not end well if it is allowed to go through.

Please keep the fine arts department cause our children deserve to gain the skills that is needed to become a productive citizen. Fine arts mean a lot to the students as well as the instructors.
P.S. Thanks ahead for keeping our hope and dream alive.

This is so dumb. All of these teachers are greatly needed by the Pinson community. The decision to let them go is wrong. We need to bring them back.

The arts are the heart of pvhs, along with the teachers as well, we are all one big family, for some students the arts are the only reason they even come. To the teachers yall are amazing and deserve soo much better!

I'm so tired of sports being glorified and the Arts Program being ignored by Jefcoed. The Arts program is very important to a lot of children and we need teachers that have a love for this as well.

By taking away those who teach music and theatre you are telling those students your interests are not important. Dont teach kids they are all special and significant when you really mean just those who participate in sports. I did not even attend PVHS and I am outraged

Amazing that a principal would make a decision to let two teachers go that have made such a huge impact in the areas that they teach. Both programs have grown and improved under these two teachers. These teachers are supported not only by the students that they teach but also by the community as can be seen by the flurry of activity that this issue has brought about. As a parent of a student that has had interaction with one of these teachers, I have to say that I am incredible disappointed in the decisions that the administration at the school has made. I hope that the administration realizes that whatever respect that the students and parents had for the administration is going to be damaged by the decisions that have been made.

Now, I disagree with that. I love Mr. Turner. He's done much more for the school than Dr. Brown ever has. But I do think this is a poor decision.
