(To the Queensland Parliament) Queensland residents draws to the attention of the House our opposition to any proposal involving destruction of the Fairy House (24 MacGregor Terrace, Bardon), as outlined in options 2 and 3 of the Main Roads MacGregor/Jubilee Terrace Planning Study. The Fairy House is a cherished local icon that has been loved by local residents and passers-by for generations. Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to consider alternatives, especially enhanced public transport and traffic minimisation before allowing the destruction of this landmark. (Note this was our first petition. Over 200 people have signed it, but we have now moved. See the link to the official Parliamentary Petition on the right.)
