The allegations against Michael Vick regarding dog fighting are amongst the most disgusting, abhorrent behaviors that a human can exhibit. Vick is accused of participating in the brutal killing of at least 8 dogs on one occasion and running an illegal and vicious dog fighting ring. The federal indictment against him contains accusations that speak to the most evil and inhumane actions that a person can show against animals. It\'s time to stand up for the dogs. It doesn\'t matter if you are a football fan or dog lover. If you are someone with compassion, your voice needs to be heard. Michael Vick deserves his day in court--his due process. Should he be found guilty of the charges against him, Vick needs to be banned from the NFL for life. He should never be in a position where children want to buy his jersey or where he can be a public face for any company, especially a visible NFL franchise like the Atlanta Falcons. For too long, we have tolerated the actions of our sports teams and entertainers and have turned a blind eye to drug use, gang related activities and the like. Let your voice be heard that you will not support Michael Vick\'s continuing employment in the NFL should he be found guilty. This petition will go directly to the NFL and the Atlanta Falcons by December 31, 2007.
