We, the undersigned, oppose the closure of the Castle, and call on Brains Brewery to work with the community and the council to protect the pub as a hub for our neighbourhood.
We ask Brains to keep the Castle open while work is undertaken to explore an alternative to the current plan for redevelopment.

The momentum generated by this petition has prompted a formal meeting request with representatives from Brains Brewery. We are currently drafting a proposal that outlines alternative redevelopment schemes for the site.

Too many pubs closing already. Enough is enough.
Brains seriously needs to rethink this. We dont need more over priced flats we need our local.
The Castle is the only decent place to grab a pint round here. Dont close it down!!
So many memories in that pub from over the years. Such a shame if it goes.
This place has been a part of Barry for generations. You cant just rip the heart out of the street like this.
