The doors are staying open and our local shelter will continue its mission to save these animals. My heart is full knowing those dogs from out of state still have a safe place to land. We need to stay focused on helping the staff maintain this essential resource for our …

The SPCA in Angola New York is scheduled to close in June. People who live in the Southtowns will now have to drive all the way to Tonawanda to surrender unwanted animals- this is likely to result in the abandonment of a lot of dogs and cats! Furthermore, there will no longer be a close location for people in the Southtowns who want to rescue an animal and give it a second chance at life. Finally, animals from high kill shelters in West Virgina and Ohio are often sent to the Angola shelter for a chance at adoption instead of euthanization. If this shelter closes, the dogs will have nowhere else to go! Please sign the petition below to help keep the Angola SPCA open as a haven for homeless animals!

Seeing 250 names on this list gives me hope that our community will fight to keep these doors open for the animals who have nowhere else to go. My own rescue dog came from this shelter and I know firsthand what a void it would leave in the Southtowns if we lose it.

My own dog came from this shelter and I refuse to let it disappear when these animals need us most. Please push this out to your neighbors right now because we need to hit two hundred fifty signatures before local officials meet to decide our fate.

This is ridiculous. Tonawanda is way too far for anyone in the Southtowns. They are setting these poor animals up to be dumped on the side of the road.

KEEP IT OPEN. We need this place in the community. My dog came from there and he is the best thing that ever happened to me.

Stop closing down places that actually help the community. Fix the budget some other way instead of punishing the animals.

My family adopts from here. Closing it is a major mistake that will hurt way more pets than anyone realizes.
