The Meriden Humane Society is being forced to vacate! The many cats and dogs who were saved will have nowhere to go once they need to leave.
I have recently encountered this program hoping to find a nice place to volunteer, and immediately received an email to contact the City of Meriden to prevent its closure. My goal is to get at least 500 signatures, meaning that there are 500 people willing to fight for this cause, and hopefully be able to sway the City of Meriden and the current mayor.
I currently attend Quinnipiac University, and am willing to spend as much time as I can to ensure these animals are able to stay.

Keep the shelter open! Those animals have nowhere else to go. Shame on the city for doing this.
This is so sad. My heart breaks for these poor dogs and cats. Please dont let them close this place down, they do such good work in Meriden.
Please don't comment again. This is about saving these innocent creatures, not promoting your political views.
If students from colleges are willing to volunteer, support their outreach to their adopted community, and sign!

Stop the eviction now! These animals deserve a safe roof over their heads.
Keep the shelter open! Those animals have nowhere else to go. Shame on the city for doing this.
