The Dublin City Council has officially reversed the decision to convert the Ambassador Theatre into a library. This outcome preserves a vital space for our city music culture. I am grateful for the collective efforts of the 530 people who joined this effort to protect our heritage.
The Ambassador Theatre in Dublin Ireland Is one of the main alternative music venues. In September 2007 Dublin City Council anounced that it was going to be turned into a library, relocating the library from its current location in the ILAC centre despite saying two years ago that it was to remain an entertainment venue. We want to keep it as a entertainment venue so please support.
The momentum surrounding our effort to save The Ambassador Theatre continues to build as we approach our next milestone. I ask that you encourage others to join this effort so that we may reach our goal and present a unified front to the Dublin City Council.

The ILAC library is fine where it is. Leave the theatre alone.

Saw so many great gigs here over the years. Such a shame if they ruin it now.

Dublin needs more live music venues not another library. Keep the Ambassador as it is!
