This course is home to thousands who flock to Swope from all over the country. Tearing Swope down is tantamount to destroying a city landmark. It only serves as a disservice to our city and its citizens.

Please spare this beautiful and historic disc golf course. It is a landmark destination for disc golfers worldwide. Drove 18 hrs from Pennsylvania to play and enjoy the legendary course.

Disc golf has been a boon to Swope Park, bringing users to the park since 1984. There is plenty of space to accommodate both a disc golf course and the new animal shelter.

We drove from PA last month just to play Swope. It is a great course and it doesn't seem like a great location for a shelter. Its very hilly and would require extensive excavation. There must be a better suited location near by,

All for the shelter, but a compromise should be reached between both sides

There is plenty of room just north of the course. I am all for a no kill shelter believe me but I am firmly against taking away the best disc golf course in the city. Take away the softball fields across the street, they barely get used.

I don't want to see the disc golf course completely gone it's been there for over 35 years. Now of KC Pet Project could have 5 Acres or something in Swope Park that's one thing. I have animals from a no-kill shelter and I'm an animal lover but the shelter doesn't need the entire course. I'm in favor of them finding abandoned Lots close by the park to use that as land or a small piece of Swope Park but not the entire disc golf course. I've never asked for play the sport but I know that it's popular and I wouldn't want to see it tradition gone.

First course I ever played in the KC area. At that time, we travelled all the way from the Twin Cities MN on our spring break just to play it.

In an 1800 acre park there more than enough room for both the Disc Golf Course and the shelter to exist side by side.

My wife and I foster care for a organization and have 3 rescue fur mates. We understand. But we also play disc golf. Swope is a historical place in disc golf, and to make it short, there are other alternatives to build. Thank you for your time. Peace, love, disc golf, puppy's and cats✌

Swope Park was one of the first courses I competed at outside of my home state. Memories 1990
