When I fly into Kansas City from Florida I always plan to play disc golf at Swope Park. While it's fun to play new courses, there is something special about playing older and more established courses... especially a park that has been home to such a famous disc golf course. Please do not remove the course at Swope Park.

This park and it's course are historical gems for the still growing sport of disc golf. It is with great conviction and passion that I ask to preserve this legendary park and course.

Please do not close this course. Kansas City has long been one of the top disc golf destination cities in the country, and the course at Swope Park is a big reason why. Not only would closing it destroy history and diminish community, it would significantly decrease tourism to the area.

Swope park's disc golf course elevated the standards for the game/sport of disc golf, which is now one of the fastest growing games/sports in the world. Swope was also one of the host courses for the 2009 Professional Disc Golf Association World Championships, bringing hundreds of competitors into Kansas City from around the world, and infusing thousands of dollars into the local economy.
Swope disc golf course is legendary within the sport of disc golf. I urge you to consider options that would allow the disc golf course to remain intact.

LOVE Swope DG course! When I moved back to KC from California one of my “concerns” was quality disc golf courses and Swope is one of the best. Love that we’re getting a new shelter, but surely there could be a compromise. Save Swope, please!
