Please consider reverting back to the original plan of using a small section of the Swope Park Disc Golf course. It was the original course in KC and is still very active and a great use of the land!

There is not need to gut the entire park and take out the disc golf course that gets daily use by hundreds of disc golfers. Put the shelter over along Gregory, along home 17. There is plenty of room on that end if the course for the shelter to go in, with parking, and the disc golf course could be reworked slightly so you would still have 18 holes. Putting it right in the middle of the course where the clubhouse is makes no sense as everything around that area slopes down and there is not enough flat surface for the building. You will take out way more trees, and it is unnecessary. Save the disc golf course, don't go back on the original plan!

Swope Park is the 2nd largest park in the nation with 1800 plus acres. It seems like there would be plenty of other options that don't involve destroying one of the most loved and played courses in the city.

I drive all the way from Des Moines, Ia to visit this beautiful park. Please find a way for this park to stay as is.
