Share and share alike. There is a large amount of land just west of the starlight theatre. Is that area not considered?

I now live in St. Charles, but learned the sport of disc golf in K.C. Swope park was and still is my most cherished course in all of kc. It's a great course for all ages. It will truly be a lost treasure if removed.

I first played Swope Park Disc Golf Course back in the 1980s and have continued to play and help with events since that time. I hope it can remain in some fashion.

I Helped design a few courses and it’s been proven that vandalism decreases 50-70% in a park with a disc golf course when they are installed. Anything we can do to get the youth to put down their phones and games and get outside and do some physical activities is great.

This is a historic course! It was the 1st in Kansas City, and one of the first in the nation. It is world class and people come from all over to play it. If you remove it you will also be removing all the money these people bring. Local businesses will notice. Hotels, dining, and fuel industries will all be affected.
Second point, this is park land for the people. The city has plenty of other land suitable for a animal shelter. Matter of fact, better suited! This land is being used. How about putting it in one of the MANY blighted areas near by. In an abandoned building? So many other choices than in a park!
