Please do not take this iconic disc golf course away. I traveled from MN just to play that three years ago.

One unique positive aspect of Kansas City is it’s vibrant disc golf scene. Disc golf has improved the condition of parks like Swope and made them safer for everyone by increasing traffic. This is the oldest course in Kansas City and hosts some of the largest regional tournaments. Please find a way to build the shelter without destroying this active, beautiful piece of KC history which is so dear to so many.

Swope Disc Golf course has been instrumental in many people’s lives to learn and love the sport. Many professional disc golf competitions have used this course for championships, including Kansas City’s Corporate Challenge, which promotes friendly competition amongst businesses in the KC area. Please reconsider using the land the disc golf course currently utilizes for the Animal Shelter.

KC Pet Project has $$$$$$$$ to find a new home elsewhere. Disc Golf courses in KC are respected nationwide, hosting many professional events. This includes Swope Park.

This is by far my favorite course to play disc golf in Kansas City! It is an absolutely beautiful setting! I would love for this course to stay!

This may seem like something that doesn't matter but this course is historic in our sport's short history. Removing a course that is 35 years old is a travesty.

Why use park land for a non-recreational use? It defeats the purpose of having parks. An animal shelter can literally go anywhere.
