Swooe has special meaning to so many residents of Kansas City. To so many it is more than just a park, but a place where friendships have been forged. A place that through Kansas cities history you could meet friends and for a little while forget your days troubles. Countless memories have been made there. Taking it away will leave a void in the hearts and lives of the disc golf community.

I travel to KC on business quite frequently and select my hotel by proximity to the Swope Park. If the disc golf course is pulled I will sleep and select restaurants across the river in Kansas Close to my second favorite course.

Disc golfers have been taking care of this part of Swope Park for 30+ years, and making it nicer than 99% of the parks in KC. You don’t to put a shelter there. Go put it in one of your many other dilapidated areas.

This course is a KC staple. There is a TON of land in that park to put the new Animal Shelter... placing it right in the center and taking out a great course in one of the best disc golf areas in the world while the sport is beginning to grow by leaps and bounds is a BIG MISTAKE.

This place is a KC original. We've hosted world championships here. Disc golfers keep the area alive and vibrant. PLEASE DO NOT REMOVE THIS COURSE. It means so much to so many people.

This is one of my favorite Disc Courses in KC. I don’t understand why a park is becoming a place for a business. There are many building not in use that could be updated and put in use instead of taking the limited natural park space we have.
