As a frequent visitor to KCMO, I think removing the disc golf course is a big mistake.

This disc golf course has so much history as it’s been in the ground for over 30 years. Losing it would be a tremendous loss to the disc golf community. It has provided countless hours of enjoyment to locals and out of towners that love the challenge that Swope has to offer. Please reconsider and come up with a Berger solution so this historic park can be used for many years to come.

Swope Park is one of the locations that anyone in the disc golf community outside of Kansas City knows about and one day wants to play. If you were to North Carolina, Colorado, Washington, or Texas and ask about disc golf in Kansas City, they would mention Swope Park. This course is a vital part of not only the community within Kansas City, but for our entire sport.

People travel to KC for many reasons, work brought me there but disc golf and Swope Park kept my interest. Made me want to return from upstate NY.

This place has a part of my soul, and to lose that is a shame. But it's not mine so it comes down to money, and we have none. So 30+ years of hard work and beautification will slip through the cracks. But this is the world we live in and it is what it is. You brought lots of smiles and made many of friends, we should be proud of what this course brought into our lives, and be heartbroken that it's being taken away from us. Well I guess all that's left to say is you were great and meant a lot to a lot over the years and we'll miss you greatly, peace SWOPE PARK DISC GOLF.

Seems like a dumb reason to get rid of a classic. Surely you have other areas of land for a animal shelter. Start charging a fee if that would help revenue
