A huge park and they want to put the shelter here? This course is an important part of disc golf history. Not only in Kansas City, but in the US.

Not only should this course not be removed, but it should be considered for becoming a historic landmark!

A no-kill shelter is wonderful but Swope Park Disc Golf Course needs to stay where it's at.

This is not what we voted for when the issue came up for a vote. They were supposed to take only a small part of the land.

The shelter is important, but can be built somewhere else in the park, Swope Park is huge.

Grew up with this park and the disc golf is amazing as should be saved. I know time marches on and I’m all for helping our little critters but I don’t this think this is the appropriate place for a shelter.

As big as that park is there is no reason why another part of the park can't be used for the shelter.

This gem is 35 years old. Find a new spot for the shelter. It doesn’t need to be near the zoo to save dogs.

This seems like an issue that could and should be easily solved without the destruction of a park that is used by so many people. Hopefully, saner minds will prevail.

One of my favorite courses in the KC area. Love the history at this course.
