Please don’t remove a piece of Kansas City history and disc golf history! Please find another location to execute your noble goal!

This course is a staple of the Kansas City Disc Golf community and has had a lot of volunteer work go into making it what it is. Please find a way to integrate the dog shelter somewhere else in the massive swope park.

The city needs both of these - use the land that was originally selected for the shelter!

I would sure hate to see it go it's where I learned how to play disc golf !

There are so few courses already and this is one of the oldest and best courses around.

The Swope disc golf course is a piece of history for KC and carries the distinction of being the first course in the metro. There is no argument that the shelter is a worthwhile cause. But, it is in no way related to recreation, which I think should first and foremost be the purpose of park space.

A no kill shelter is a great cause, however there are many other places it could go....we use the disc golf course! Please don't take it away from us

Awesome historical course, we shouldn't do without it.

Disc golf is a constantly growing sport gaining evermore popularity among all generations of people. Swope Park has been one of the best known and loved courses on the nation since almost the beginning. It would be a massive shame to loose such a historic and loved course just as the sport is reaching such great mainstream popularity!

Swope Park has acres and acres of land, why not use some of the currently unused land for the shelter? Getting completely rid of the course seems like a strange option.

Keep swipe disc park alive.

This is one of the best courses in the city. This is the Swope Memorial equivalent of disc golf in the city. Find somewhere else for the animal shelter. The park and the city are both huge.

I play here at least once a week. It is a great addition to the area. It is one of the oldest disc golf courses in the area and the Kansas City Wide Open is held here. The KC Wide Open bring in an unknown amount of commerce to the local exonomy during the time the tournament is held.

There is an entire city please save Swope Park!!!

I have so many memories left to make at Swope Disc Golf Course. Please consider other options and leave KC's oldest disc golf course intact!!!! Think of how many people are currently using the park and the visibility it gets to kids passing by. I know myself and others have gotten kids interested just because they see us throwing. We disc golfers in KC are a great positive influence on kids - and they don't have many positive influences around them these days. Please keep the Swope Disc Golf course alive!!!!!!
