For a city surrounded by water it is madness to destroy this asset which will give children a skill which could potentially save their lives. The school has playing fields and outside activities much healthier than being inside. Outrageous suggestion to destroy such a valuable asset.

This is a one of the pools Portsmouth Northsea use to teach children to swim. Don't make it difficult for them to maybe produce yet another Olympian!

Best part of my school week was a swimming here!! And now my son goes to Springfield and I want him to experience it! One of the few schools that still has an onsite pool. Please don't take it away!

Learnt to swim here. There is a lack of pools as it it so don't knock down another one!! We need to encourage more people into swimming, and sport in general, this won't do that!!!! Keep Springfield Pool Open!!!!

One of the only available non-gym swimming pools around. So many benefit from this and would be a shame to lose it!

Short sighted. Kids need to learn to swim. The National Curriculum requires children to learn to swim. More time pressure and cost on schools needing pools. There is plenty of space on the field tennis courts etc.

My kids have been learning to swim at this pool since they were both 4 years old, it would be a real shame to lose this facility.

Being able to swim is a life skill, fewer and fewer schools are teaching their pupils this skill that could save their life.

We can't lose more pools in Portsmouth. so many children are taught to swim out of Springfield school. Why is that not important to the council??
