Swimming is such an important thing both healthy and useful in an emergency. I am sure the school already has a good gym. Please don't take away this Essential facility.

This pool needs to remain open for the safety of children. There are not many pools in Portsmouth, and it is vital for children to learn to swim otherwise it is going to have an impact on their future families.

It is so important that our kids know how to swim so why close down these essential facilities? I know the government are making cuts all the time but this is so shortsighted

My daughter started swimming lessons at this school, she has absolutely loved it would be sad to see it go as the nearest swimming pool is in town we currently live out of town so we love that we can attend swimming lessons round the corner from where we live.

I've swam in this pool & now my Granddaughters are swimming in it , we should be adding additional facilities for the future not taking them away .

It would be such a waste to get rid of this pool. We only have a hand full in the local community now. My mum, my aunties and me have all been to the school got great memories!

I went to school at Springfield and it was great that it had something other schools didn't. My nephew Also does his swimming lessons here and loves it. Why would you close something that so many people use ? If this closes people would have to try and go else were for lessons. I think 700+ may struggle to get a place elsewhere.

All children should swim , good all over exercise even for those children not athletic . Enough gyms already . I was in school swimming team here and it's a great pool

This pool cannot be closed down so many people in the community and surrounding schools have used and still use this pool. If this pool is closed or nearest pool will be havant which is not good enough.

I used to swim here when I trained with Portsmouth Northsea, it is a great part of the community and will be very sad to see it go and the loss it would cause to the school and the wider community

This pool was an integral part of growing up and schooling for me and my sisters Springfield. It ignigted my love of swimming and fitness. Why not invest and build a gym too?

I have chosen this school for my children and my choice took into acct there was a pool, gutted!
