If this goes ahead, it will be a big loss. A pool is such a rare facility for a school to have. I really hope sense prevails!

More important for children to learn to swim than an extra 65 pupils !

Should be kept open - no question about it!

both my girls learnt to swim in this pool, with the brownie swimming group, they both attended Springfield, and both had a successful synchro swimming career, being invited to train with the GB junior squad. All children need to learn to swim!

I learnt to swim in this pool and later joined Portsmouth Victoria Swimming Pool. This pool is needed for the local community, to ensure every child can learn to swim.

I think it is very important to keep the pool open, I and many of my friends had lessons at Springfield school. It's very important to stay healthy and not many schools have swimming pools. X

This is still needed in the area!! I was lucky to have the opportunity to have access to swimming lessons as part of PE when I attended Springfield. It's not just a resource for the school but for primary aged children in the area to use! It would be such a loss to no longer have access to this!

So many children use this facility, to loose it is a disgrace. If it was situated in the inner city, they wouldn't think of closing it.

I went to Springfield and enjoyed my time in the pool (even if I can't swim). It would be a shame for the future pupils to not be able to have the pool access.

I learnt to swim at Springfield School many years ago, and would be a huge loss to the local and wider community if it was gone !

A child can't get better physical than swimming. PCC, please seriously consider the views of local residents, their children, and the wider community who need and use this valuable amenity.

Swimming is a vital life skill. Closing the pool closes the ability for 1000s of children, adults and elderly to learn a precious skill.

Don't close a resource which is used for the whole of the community!
