The pool at Springfield made it stand out when I choose it above the other local school. It gave my children the opportunity of extra swimming lessons and a club and it is a shame it is not seen as a huge benefit to the local area

Memories were created in his pool. I won the 100 meter breath stroke in the swimming gala

Please don't close this pool. I am a granny and know so many children who have learned to swim in that pool. Don't forget that Portsmouth is an island and is therefore surrounded by water every child must be able to learn to swim as it could save their life

The Pool is a valuable resource for the local community.t It provides an affordable service for many who otherwise couldn't afford to go to a pool.

I learnt to swim in this pool and went to this school. It is an asset to the school and a real shame if they got rid of it. Savery the pool please.

Both my children have had swimming lessons here. What a shame if we don't keep this fantastic, lifesaving resource!

Every school should be lucky enough to have a pool . Learning to swim is an essential life skill. To get rid of it is madness.

Swimming pool is so important....teaching children to swim is essential and potentially life saving. All my children went to Springfield and learned to swim at an early stage....it must not close.

Why do they need to close it if it been in money like that over all the years.

To live in Portsmouth & not be able to learn to swim because of swimming pool closures by the council is wrong.

I would like the pool saved as my Son is about to start Springfield School and I would like him to be able to swim there.

I think its more important for the school to have a pool than have an extra 65 children!

absolute disgrace, pools are a necessity, and is also a gym in its own right.
