This is where my sister and I learnt to swim. Swam there for years with family and when I went to school there!

I learnt to swim there back when It first opened and became a swimming instructor there too. My son learnt to swim there too. It's imperative that swimming is taught in schools - it saves lives. Let's keep this open

Spent many hours in that pool .... passed numerous swimming badges. ... the pool is an acet to the scool and local community

It is so difficult to get children onto swimming lessons around here. The pool is vital to the area, it is so important that children learn, it is a skill for life.

Keep swimming pool open every kid needs to learn to swim and I went to this school and think it's a great Idea for my kids

As a former pupil here, I was (& still am) an asthmatic. I could hardly run, & was always the last to be chosen for any field sports. The pool gave me an opportunity to take part in a regular sport - canoeing, led by the late, great John Drew. The next generation of pupils who don't fit the regular sport mould will be denied this chance. Not to mention the folly of denying kids who live near the sea the essential life skill of learning to swim!

Having recently moved into the area it is disappointing to see such a great facility being scrapped. This is a short sighted view by the local council.

My children learned to swim there in 80's and 90's. Both great swimmers and now teaching their children.
