I was one of the kids back in the 70s who collected newspapers every week to help pay for this .this pool taught us to swim.great school Manor Court
The pool would be so missed it has to stay.

Portsmouth City Council needs to look at itself. It needs to make the real tough decisions, not the 'pick the low fruit' that affects kids development for the whole of their lives.

The Pool is, and should remain, an essential amenity. It would be a disgrace to fill it in and concrete it over.

I really want m daughter to learn to swim she started last year in year 7 and her confidence in the water was amazing please keep it open alot of children's families can't afford private swimming or swimming time in pool this is so vital to the kids development to be able to swim it's a key life skill.

As a member of Portsmouth north sea swimming club, I, as my sisters did, swam here for numerous years. Too many school pools are being shut and while I understand the need for space there needs to be alternative ways to achieve this

I am a past student of springfield school and feel the pool added something different to the teaching. Offers the students so many more opportunities other schools in the area did not have!

Please reconsider shutting the pool I was a pupil there in the 70-80s and it was a great asset to the school and helped me to swim as it will help countless other children in the future
