SCOTA helped me develop critical thinking and creativity in a free environment. People like Bob Jacks, Guy Warren and David Ahern were inspirational. Do not touch the college.

Should be expanding capacity for art participation, the shrinking of the job market and reliance on extractive resources make it a necessity to fuel people brains - the alternative is antoher economic contraction, social and cultural collapse and fascism. Good for business, not so much for humanity.

If I were an artist, I'd have wanted to attend SCA, where the leadership and reputation is. Definitely not NSW university, which is rather drab, formless and for want of a decent perspective on life.

So sad if SCA closes.

Stop this totally negative and destructive act.

Training as an artist at SCA continues to be the most fundamental component of my professional work as both a painter and psychotherapist. Cutting costs by cutting the profound contribution that SCA offers the wider culture is short-sighted and not understanding the 'intangible' tangible that art in its sincerest form offers the world. What a nonsense

World class cities around the globe recognise that culturally vibrant arts sectors create significant economic wealth. It's time to feed the arts not starve them!

I fully support the Save SCA campaign. Diversity of cultural institutions is essential to a good city life.

we must keep this wonderful institution open for future generations we are in danger of losing all that is creative and honourable to the construction of Units and Townhouses greed and not prosperety

I am disgusted at the ignorance and total lack of regard for such an important part of Australia's culture as Art to be dismantled by Sydney University

Please keep this College functioning for the education and inspiration of future generations of Australian artists

Merge is off, but review is urgent.

These cuts are outrageous and compromises quality. Stop. Just stop.

As an X-student I fully support the students in their direct actions. Unless we all take a stand at particular times, we can't make changes. Good luck to all the students!!

Arts programs are easy targets under neo-liberalism. Not good enough. Same thing happened to the Centre for Aboriginal Studies in Music (CASM) at the University of Adelaide. #savethearts #saveCASM

This artist is for plurality of choice, discoursive vitality, and the passionate enrichment of the culture, through all of the above.
