What a blow to the community of the college and the community at large to potentially lose such a gem of learning and gainful employment. Something that not only benifits the educational practices of its students, includes and benifits the community it resides in, but you have something that many private and public schools are fighting for-And to be the only program of it's kind in California!? What a shame if this were to go away. My signature supports the efforts of the students, the agriculture department of the college and the farm. Let's keep the land, the farm and support education in a way that no one else is doing.

To lose a place that connects us with the land and animals would be a tragedy. Pierce is extremely important to our community. Especially as I watch beautiful open spaces become huge 400 unit condos. Saving Pierce Farm saves our history!

This is a program that is vital to the community. In a time where so much of this connection to the land and animals has been lost, it would be heartbreaking and a huge disservice to lose this wonderful place to make that connection. Please reconsider your stance and save the program.

I remember when the Valley was still orange groves. I shot a short film called "Piggies" at the Pierce College Farm when I was in high school. Too much development has destroyed the valley. We need to keep some open lands and the farm is ideal for that.

My family has lived in Woodland Hills since the 1940's before the Ventura fwy was here. Most of the West Valley was agricultural, orange groves,walnut groves fruit orchards and corn fields. Pierce College was a agricultural college that rivaled ag colleges like cal poly. Have they forgotten thier roots? Now they want to destroy they only part of the campus that shows residents what the valley really looked like and the agriculture that made them viable in the first place. I. Hope they come to thier senses.

Los Angeles has so few agricultural spaces. We can't afford to lose one. Pierce College Farm is one of the reasons that students choose Pierce instead of going out of town or out of state to get hands-on experience.
