In addition to the vital educational opportunities this facility provides, it's an important community center, for several reasons. It not only provides for local students to receive hands-on experience locally, but it also serves as an emergency shelter for horses and other animals when there are fires, mudslides, and other disasters. The Pierce College Farm is an vital asset for our education system and for the entire west valley community. Shutting it down would be a terrible mistake. I implore the Board of Trustees to reconsider this misguided decision.

The Pierce Farm and Agricultural Program has been a gem during the holiday season for residents all over the Valley for the past decade. It would really be a shame to shut down such an amazing operation that brings joy to so many people each year.

Don't close the farm! It's such a great program, and their Halloween Harvest is the best! The first Halloween my husband and I were dating we went to the Harvest, we still talk about the memories we made there that night...

Whoa my heart is breaking this place is paramount for the neighborhood. My daughter who's only 11 months has spent her first halloween going through the farm facilities and what it has to offer I'm so bummed it won't be around. Please what can we do, donate money, designate it as a landmark? I so want her to have roots in this neighborhood and with Pierce Farm during the seasonal holidays.

The Pierce College Farm is a gem, and one of the wonderful programs that makes Pierce so unique. There are few opportunities for students in this field to receive such hands-on learning at an accessible price. Beyond that, it's long been a wonderful resource for the community at large- it'd be a shame to see it go.

I can't imagine anything that might replace the Farm will be a greater benefit to the community.

This is an important program for a state with such a rich farming history. We will always need people to grow our food and take care of our live stock. Please keep the Farm open.

As an instructor at the college it deeply saddens me to see this little gem of a place disappearing. It is one of the things that makes Pierce such a special place relative to other local colleges.

I love the Pierce Farm Center. The Harvest Festival is one of my annual October traditions. It's a bright spot in this city, and should not be shut down!

This farm is an invaluable teaching tool. To close it would be to take away something that Los Angeles desperately needs.

Really? Why would you take something away where thousands of people flock to to get joy out of during the holiday season. Sounds like someone is being a grinch. Selfish move. Keep the farm.

This farm is an asset to the entire Los Angeles community. It not only helps train our future veterinarians but also allows families to create wonderful memories and provides farm fresh produce. To say nothing of the Pumpkin Harvest Festival and Christmas Tree farm that occur here seasonally. The Pierce College Farm is an asset to farm education and to the community and should be supported not dismantled.

I am another one who feels that this Pierce Farm center is a vital part of the community and a landmark of the Valley and it would be a GREAT disservice to far too many!! I pray that you can work this out in unity.

this is ridiculous. there is an increasing consciousness about and market demand for organic produce and self-sustainence. those who cannot do it all for them selves benefit from and appreciate the resource. those attending the college who are interested deserve the resource to learn how to help our society and themselves at the same time. if the ag feature is discontinued, it would be a shame and a great disservice.
