I am honestly stunned by how many of you have joined this effort to protect our local libraries. If we can get a few more people to look at this page today then reaching our next milestone might actually happen.

I don't live in area, all libraries about very important. We're fighting to save our libraries from real estate developer. Real estate developer took away beautiful Donnell Library Center from Museum of Modern Art in Midtown Manhattan; Five Pointz Building, only graffitti-permit building in Long Island City, Queens and Long Island City College Hospital in Brooklyn Heights, Brooklyn

My kids use the library every weekend. Its not just books its where they do homework and stay out of trouble. Please keep it open.

Ridiculous waste of money to close these. The council needs to find budget elsewhere instead of cutting services people actually use.

I rely on the computers here to search for jobs since my internet at home is spotty. Closing these branches will destroy our community.
