After 35 years of service, they are planning to take out the Hancocks store on Penn and Britton in Oklahoma city. With the removal of Walmarts fabric section, this leave sewers, knitters, quilters and cosplayers alike out of business. Most of the older ladies are unable to drive so far to the next store almost 30 miles away just to get patches of fabric. Everyone that works at the store loves it and everyone who goes in, loves being greeted by the wonderful people who have worked there for so long. The statement made was that the Hancocks was in a 'dying community', but it is not. It is centered in a growing community. Sales have raised over the last few years and months, increasing sales. It is also one of the largest stores along with being the oldest in OKC. We are rallying outside of the store on Friday, April 6th to hold a petition there as well. For those of you who can't come or agree that we should save this store, please sign this petition so we can show them what the store means to us!!

My wife is there every single week. Such a staple in our community. Dont shut it down over some bad data about the neighborhood.

This is absolute nonsense. I have been coming here since the 80s for my quilting supplies. Where am I supposed to go now? Please leave our store alone.
