I live next to the back of Sedgefield Middle School. We have a quiet and peaceful neighborhood without congestion, stacked homes. The beautiful trees and public park anchor our green space and is a pleasure to walk and play at any time if day in our neighborhood. Please do not destroy the beauty and peace which surround us in a busy city. Thank you Lynette Aggeles

Several months ago I took a route through Dilworth and Sedgefield that I have not taken in two decades and it took me 45 minutes to drive from Ideal Way to Archdale Drive. I used to live near the intersection of Kenilworth and Scott and fondly remember not having heavy traffic issues ever. This city has been criminally negligent in allowing developers to over-build and without giving any consideration to how it affects those of us who NEED to drive through these areas. Not everyone can take the bus, or the train. I work in STATESVILLE. Am I supposed to take the light rail to work? It's time to put and end to this nonsense and stop the over-building.

Seems like this whole thing happened under the radar. Where was the public notice? We need more green space not less. Once it is sold it is gone forever and for what? A developers idea of what will make the most money? We all lose something here.

This is where I walk my dog! The trees and parks are what make this neighborhood so desirable.

It makes no sense to sell off school assets for pennies on the dollar while also damaging the environment and the neighborhood you are sworn to serve. What are you thinking?

Please do not sell this land to a builder of multi unit housing. This park and land is precious to those who live near the area. TOur children need places to play. One of the beautiful things about living in Charlotte is its parks and having them within walking distance to your home is a huge plus! My husband helped with the planning of this park. We had multiple playgroups meet there and we used it daily when my kids were little. The South Blvd area is already too packed to hold the traffic it is getting. The neighborhoods surrounding this land already have tons of cut through traffic. So many reasons not to sell it!

Green spaces are the lungs of our city. Each tree cut=lower air quality.
AND selling off our school property is the wrong direction for CMS.

No more condo buildings!
We need green to live well.
It's already too dense.
Selling school land? Aren't we better than that?
