Effective immediately the parents, students and staff of Hinsdale Adventist Academy want our Associate Principal Robert Jackson reinstated. The official statement from the school is as follows: Yesterday executive members of the Illinois Conference asked our Associate Principal Mr. Jackson to choose between resigning and being terminated after they had conducted an investigation into allegations that Mr. Jackson had adjusted the grades of a student over the summer. Mr. Jackson chose not to resign. The Illinois Conference made its decision without approval of the school board or administration. The Illinois Conference has requested a meeting with the Executive of the board on Sunday evening. The HAA school board has called an emergency board meeting set for Monday night at 6:30 pm where this matter will be discussed further and appropriate action taken. Parents are invited to attend. The Jackson family is deeply appreciated for the hard work, passion and time they have dedicated to making this a model school over the past eighteen months. We solicit your prayers for them at this time, and for our school which has come so far in the last 18 months. As a school board, we are deeply concerned about this issue and please be assured that your children are our highest priority. Because this issue is now public and has been discussed by our students on social media forums such as Facebook, an assembly for the high school will be conducted this morning to offer students an opportunity to understand what is happening. Students in younger grades will be addressed in their classrooms, by their teachers. We want to assure you that school will continue as usual, and that your children will continue to receive the excellent education, love and care that they deserve. Their teachers are extremely dedicated professionals, who have the interest of your children and Christian education as the foundation for their motivation.
