I'm a UT alum, and I think it'd be a shame to lose this treasure (especially over such a pittance of money).

Please don't cut funding for the TMM. I learned so very much there during dozens and dozens of visits in the lares 70's -mid 90s. My older local nieces and nephews enjoy it often now, and when I am back in town visiting family, I take my kids. I would happily pay admission, buy memberships, pledge towards a fundraiser. Please keep the TMM running!

I've been coming here and loving the TMM since I was a kid. Sadly, it doesn't look like anything has been done to upgrade it since I was last there! This could be a world-class facility that gets kids even more interested in STEM. It can be a place where UT students and faculty further engage with the local community and share their knowledge. Can a fundraiser/marketing genius be hired to get sponsors and a capital campaign together to ensure future success and growth.

I recall many excursions to the Texas Memorial museum when I was young, and it was there I learned to appreciate the natural world, especially enjoying rocks and fossils. I shared this museum experience with my nieces and nephews, as well, and it was always one of the highlights of a visit to Austin. We must not lose our museum, for it provides both learning and fun -- for all ages.
