My daughters love it! A great way to introduce UT to them besides football. The University needs to continue funding so that countless schoolchildren have an inexpensive intro to museums.

I spent every day after school at this museum while my dad was working at ut. I even befriended the maintenance workers in the mid90's. I would hate the thought of a university with the absence of such a community treasure!

Having served as the curator of the Entomology Research Museum at the University of California in Riverside, CA, for 37 years I feel qualified to express an opinion on matters relating to museums. I want to go on record as having said that we as a nation must do everything in our power to maintain and improve our valuable museums. They are the primary repository of historical artifacts and are, especially significant in the preservation of biological artifacts for species that are fast disappearing from earth and as such are of inestimable value.

I am the daughter of two UT professors and am a Plan II graduate. I have many happy memories of visits to the museum, both as a child and with my four boys. For a big city, Austin is lacking in good science museums. Please keep the museum fully functional for Austin's kids!

We've enjoyed this museum for so many years, it is a public treasure! Current and future generations need to be able to enjoy it and learn as much as we have. This wonderful place should not have its funding removed.
