My brother has an undergraduate and doctorate from UT; he said that an important drawing was made from an artifact at this museum. Communities always need to ensure that items of history are kept and revered.

This is an important educational resource in our community and should be funded.

Please reconsider closing this valuable museum!

Back in 1954 my art Design class went to the museum and I completed one painting from observing an artifact there. It is still one of my jewels and my work is now in the Israel Museum, Smith College Museum and museums in British Columbia, hand other European countries. What a shame. Do not take this funding away from the TMM.

I am glad to sign this position in support of the Texas Memorial Museum, a wonderfully rich and educational resource for young scientists and the Central Texas community.

I love this museum and would be devastated if it closed

The Texas Memorial Museum is more than the artifacts housed. It honors what has made Texas what it is today. Never forget where today's science began.

The Texas Memorial Museum has been enjoyed by each generation of our family over all the years. It is so important that the museum's funds are not cut, but will continue to support its needs.

This museum is a campus icon. It has been around for decaded, even before it was on campus! The thousands of children visit his museum every year and benifit from its free admission. Just consider the number of kids over the decades who's education has been benifited by this establishment. Mine certainly was by a visit in the spring of 1996 and served as my first memory of the forty acres.

I am also an educator in the Austin area and I use this museum to show my students the wonders of the ancient world. What a terrible tragedy it would be to lose this museum, for museums are now our modern day cathedrals.

I worked here as a docent and have seen how many local schools visit the TMM on a DAILY basis, and use the field trip as an educational highlight of their 6 week curriculum. The UT Geology department and the UT Biology Natural History classes frequently send their students on tours of the museum in order to see first-hand the specimens they will be studying in class. It enriches education at ALL levels and is a valuable asset for the University of Texas.

As a science teacher, this museum is a huge resource for K-12 students and educators. It absolutely must stay open for the university to maintain continual access to K-12 schools.

This museum is the ONLY Natural History educational facility open to all regardless of age. It absolutely must be kept open with full funding.

We have so much affection for this Museum. We visit several times a year. PLEASE keep it open.

This is educational asset for many school children that should be retained.

The Texas Memorial Museum is a gem and should definitely receive the necessary funding to keep it open for thousands of Texas children who have been inspired to learn more by this museum and its staff.

The museum is a great resource and it would be terribly shortsighted of the University of Texas to lose it.
