It would be a shame not to fund TMM and its outreach operations.

I bring my elementary students to the museum every year and they are inspired and awed by the natural world.

Good cause

This is a great museum that is well worth preserving.

This is a vital resource for our communities and youth!

'73 My heart is breaking for the loss of all the accomplishments achieved by my great grandfather, Dr Elias H Sellards, TMM Director 1938-1957, as well as previous and subsequent Directors. Loss of the museum thru lack of funding for such a valluable asset to the UT system is a true shame.

The TMM holds a special place in my heart. As a girl, every drive from our home in Arlington to our grandparents in Gonzales included a visit to the museum. All the artifacts & fossils fascinated me. As an undergraduate at UT, I visited at least once a month. As an educator, I have brought junior high students for field trips & they have always leaned so much & had tons of fun. TMM was the first museum experience for my own children as well. It would be negligent of the University to deny future generations of children the benefits of this wonderful museum.

At a time when science is already under threat, how can you close the place that allows students and the public to see/feel/understand artifacts and their underlying science?? Not only was the museum a refuge for me as a student but it galvanized me to do further research (in biopharmacology) as a grad student. Furthermore, as a woman involved in the sciences and math, I abhor the idea of cutting anything which helps bring further knowledge of STEM to the public!! Please keep the museum open.

It takes a team to run a museum, not a single, put-upon staffer.

Dean, please reconsider this decision. The Texas Memorial Museum was an incredible resource for my degree from UT Austin. Please let it continue to be just that.

This museum was always a favorite of mine. My kids and grandkids have enjoyed going here and seeing the dinosaurs. Save TMM!!!

Always save a museum

Funding has been cut drastically over the years since I received my MA in Anthropology in 1991, all to the detriment of the museum. This isn't a good idea. Our history is important!

It is so important to keep quality museums open to stimulate minds in ways that nothing else can.
