I received my training at TMM as a UT student in the early 80s. This valuable resource can not be allowed to languish, particularly as the university is one of the country's wealthiest.

The Texas Memorial Museum is an absolute treasure for science outreach, and there is nothing to replace it in Austin. Don't let kids in our city miss out on the opportunity to have a place to go to see natural history and get curious. Surely, UT can find the budget for something so important!

I was impressed with the quality of the museum exhibits when I visited the first time. Also, the fossil ID day is fantastic! The national cuts for funding related to natural history are overwhelming. Don't let it happen to us, too!

Not only is this museum a valuable scientific learning center for the UT and Austin community, but employees of the museum are also directly involved in research projects at UT as well!

Like the failed attempt to close The Cactus Cafe, I hope the effort to cut the museum's funding also fails. It is one of the treasures of this university and is something that the *city* can ill afford to lose.

My daughter loves this museum - it has fostered her love of dinosaurs, Texas animals and rocks since she was old enough to walk. Save Our Museum!
