Save the countryside in between Hellifield and Long Preston

This land is too special for wildlife

This area will not benefit from transient groups of people staying for short periods of time who have no long term interest in this community. In addition, this lands floods regularly. If it is built on, the floods will need diverting and will cause damage to the existing infrastructure.

We didn't want this 5 years ago so why now

Building on such a precious site would be sacrilege - gone forever would be the resting place for wildfowl and in it's place, buildings (of any type) would be a blot on the landscape.

I walk through this lovely area full of nature regularly. Please stop this spot from being wrecked.

This development is unnecessary, as we already have a caravan park in the village. To build in front of existing houses is an outrage.

This area is a precious habitat for so much wild life. There must be other sites to build on , please look again, some things are priceless and have a value greater than money or tourism.

Please don't build on the stretch of land.

This land should have no development allowed, it is far too important for the wildlife and any plans WILL disrupt them.

Although no longer a hellifield residents I grew up looking out over this land and don't want to see it ruined and spoils for others by the greed of developers

Why is building being allowed on Green Belt land at Hellifield again?? The Flashes are extremely important to a variety of wildlife and its loss will have a massive impact not just locally but to a wider area. We cannot afford to loose it.

Please don't build on this land

How can a local authority allow development on one of North Yorkshire's finest wildlife sites for no other reason than profit to the developer? Over 600 Lapwing and many other threatened species have been basing themselves on the Flashes over the late summer - the plans do not explain where they are expected to go!
