As you may be aware, I have recently launched a campaign to save the Black Watch in its name and local affiliation.

With historic links to Dundee, Fife and Tayside region, the government must retain the world famous and historical “Black Watch” in title, uniform and celebration as an integral part of HM UK Armed Forces. <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

The momentum behind this effort continues to grow as more people recognize the necessity of protecting the Black Watch. This response affirms that our regional heritage remains a priority for many citizens who value our military history.

Too much heritage is being binned for budget cuts. Keep the regiment and the name proper.

Keep our history alive. You cant just erase the black watch like it means nothing to us here in dundee. My grandfather served and he would be ashamed.
