I move to Southern Pines a year ago and one of the draws was the pine tree corridor of Midland Road. I now live just off the road and would consider any road construction or destruction of the pine as a travesty. I have seen very little traffic on the road (in comparison to where I came from) and visitors, when visiting for the first time remark about the beautiful entry into the area. Changes will not be progress.

please do not cut done trees. I live on Midland Road (1680) lower speed limit if necessary. Tress do not cause accidents, people do. Government including NCDOT are not reliable so do not let this department destroy something that cannot be replaced.

The Midland Road area is one of the most scenic in our part of the Sandhills. I strongly oppose the changes the DOT is proposing.
