He was my favorite teacher helped me out so much in school made it to were I understood my homework and he wasn't easy on us and just gave a grade to pass us he made us understand our work and made sure we know everything and earned our grade

He deserves to remain in his position. He has made a huge difference and impact in many students lives. For some students, he provides them with an enjoyable learning environment and the reason they finished school. He truly cares about the kids, which is important to all students and parents.

Louv was a wonderful teacher while I was in his class and not only put his time into his students during school hours, but also outside of school on weekends and evenings. He cared about his students and what was going on in their lives.

I have some grandkids who thought the world of this man. They use to come home from school and discuss what had been discussed in his class that day.That's a teacher that makes an impact.

Mr Louv is one of my daughters favorite teachers. When I went to FUHS' open house, his class presentation was the only one that I could relate to. He truely cares about the kids and each child's individual process of learning. He has been there for 20 years and everyone says positive stuff about him. #savelouv

Taking Louv out of the classroom would be a huge disservice to future students who wouldn't have the opportunity to learn and grow in his classroom. History was my LEAST gavorite subject but quickly became my favorite class in high school because of this man.

Louv was one of the best economic teachers I have had. I will never forget his class. He makes a huge impact on all of his students. If I were to go back to Fortuna High to see any of my teachers it would be Louv. I have grown to know him and his family after high school as well. I see them occasionally and he still knows exactly who I am. He makes a personal commitment to his students. To move him to independent study would be a complete waste of talent and compassion many teachers do no have.

Louve taught me geography man, they can't kick him out he was a great teacher to have freshman year! He was always so welcoming to new comers and funny. Don't diss louves teaching style!!! It will live on!!

Mr. Louv was my teacher for American Government/ Economics. He was one of the reasons I decided to pursue a career in public service and receive a master's degree in Agricultural Economics. He was not only a friend and inspiration to me, but he was a friend and inspiration to struggling students who really needed to know that a teacher cared about them.
