I never had Louv as a teacher but I have been in his classroom back in high school and not once seen his desk a big mess, this is just a stupid thing to do to a great teacher!!!!!

I never had Mr. Louv as a teacher but I always heard great things about him. The grounds for which he is being released are far fetched. If you compared Mr. Louv's student success rate to the success rate of several other teachers at this school (and this does not mean just looking at grades, this means examining teaching style and student interviews and development), it would be very apparent that he is an effective and an invaluable teacher. There are several other teachers at Fortuna that deserve a release far more than Mr. Louv. He was and is a very influential teacher among some of my very close friends. Please keep this teacher, so the students of Fortuna High can have some chance of making it in the world. Do not let the political drama of a small town impact the futures of Students.

Fortuna Union High school is a representation of "forget and we don't have to deal with it" kind of motto that would rather oppress students and teachers rights to receive correct information and ultimately prefers teachers to conform to their ridiculous and bias rules. Louv is one of the best teachers at this school, and he's being put on leave? What bullshit. I've seen plenty of teachers violate many rules but the moment someone steps up to the front plate and makes the right decision as a person he is then punished for it. At Fortuna Union High school, they teach their students to build a fake personality and self morale in order to operate throughout the school year, or else it will impede your ability to keep your job or graduate. I will not stand here so people like Senastraro will walk on the teachers toes, just like how he wants to fire Conley just for being herself and teaching a four year English class. You can't fire someone for nothing, we have workers rights, especially someone who has taught at this school for many many years. I don't care if I walk or not, I'd rather get kicked out with Louv because Louv isn't like all you other falsified people emotionless people, he actually cares a lot about his students and seeks a passion in teaching. He's actually one of the only teachers that I've talked to throughout the year even when I didn't have a class with him. He remembered my name, my friends, and anyone who really sits down with him and has a chat longer than a couple of minutes. At Fortuna High, they teach you that freedom is just anot her word for "you're in trouble now" and we don't want teachers to care about you, we'd prefer a teacher that even if the whole planet earth didn't want them to be employed at the school, they'll keep the teacher just because they follow all the little rules down to the book, even if they make their students miserable. Truly appalling situation. Diverse teachers create diverse students, although Mr Louv would change the lives of independent study students, he is an incredibly essential part of fuhs.

I think this is just political antics from higher up, trying to make an example out of Mr. Louv. I think that if Mr. Louv was truly an ineffective teacher that there would have been consequences earlier on in his career.
