We badly need more passing lanes; more and more people (mostly travelers who don't know the road) are ignoring the double lines. And with the changes in Driver's Education being taken out of schools many Californians are waiting until 18 and not getting properly educated.

My family has lost many friends on this(one of the most dangerous roads in CA IMO). How many more families have to suffer for a reworking of this strech of highway!!

My mom has always said since I was a kid, that that road needed to have more lanes. I’m now 25 with 3 children of my own living in Oceanside and we visit Ridgecrest almost every single weekend. I now see EXACTLY what she meant all those years. Please add more lanes and help save many lives!!!!

Been ignored way too long, to many deaths. Should be adding passing lanes and doing improvements to safe guard all the public driving this road.

Something needs to be done! I’ve lived in Ridgecrest for 34 years and it had gotten worse every year, with all the people traveling. People DON’T obey the double yellow lines and pass anyway! Please make this a 4 lanes highway before more people die on 395!

THIS road is incredibly scary to travel -- watching the inpatient decisions to pass 18 wheelers with not enough time, or watching that car coming right toward you... hoping the truck slows to let it over... and even worse to see and hear of these horrific accidents... main freight route for California! Please fix this road.

In Ridgecrest we refer to this stretch as blood highway for a reason.

I’ve lost 2 best friends, Jessie and Bill Cunningham on 395 near Adelanto because someone crossed the double yellow line. He killed my friends, and their parents, his wife and unborn child and only got 3 years in prison! Disgusting!
