Highway 395 has to be widened. It’s a death trap that the state of California doesn’t seem to care about. Too many have died. It has to stop.

I avoid this highway at all costs. I drive an extra 45 minutes when I come home to visit just so I can feel safer.

395 is very dangerous and should be at least two lanes from Adelanto to inyokern. People don’t obey the double lines. Make it two lanes and save lives

This is a local (San bernadino) transportation commission issue, not a cal trans issue. Cal trans has repeatedly suggested these improvements, which also benefit the local economy but it gets denied down south in favor of freeway repairs. That commission determines where roadway monies go and that stretch of road is not a concern to them.

This roadway is years behind being corrected so that more people don't die. This need to improve. Fix HWY 395, make ir safe for Californians, it covers some beautiful and dramatic scenery, it shouldn't be so deadly.

Born and raised in Ridgecrest and over fifty I have know many who have died and had permanent injury, including close calls with not only cars but semi passing semi on a hill and running us off the road.

Please do something to save human lives. Too many lost already. I’ve managed to avoid numerous occasions where my boys and I have had near miss head-on collisions only by the grace of God due to other driver’s impatience/carelessness. A 4-lane would help save lives and reduce the number of traffic collisions significantly.
