They just spent a boatload of tax money on the stretch between Adelanto and Boron. And they didn't even add a 2nd lane. All they did was repave and put in a rumble strip. Whomever made the decision to spend all that money and not do a thing to make the road safer, ought to be hung.

This is a very popular and busy road - please allocate funds to fix this!!!!! It's actually ridiculous that it still remains as dangerous as it is.

I drive on this stretch a few times a year and there’s always near misses. Why it can’t be two lanes in each direction, especially in the straight section with all the dips? The passing lanes are too far apart. I usually leave where I live in mono county in the late afternoon to avoid all the idiots on the road.. and dont even start about all the signals through Adelento! It was such an easy drive in the 70s..

I rarely drive the 395 and have had several very close calls. This highway needs to be widened to 4 lanes or considerably more passing lanes need to be added.

I drive this section of 395 from Ridgecrest to I15. I am consistent alert to drivers passing illegally in front of me. I prepare mental to drive off the road into the shoulder and brush as drivers pass directly in front of me. This road needs to be fixed!!

My parents & grandparents were all killed while heading home from a family reunion on HWY 395 marker 23 on January 21, 2001. The guy who caused the accident survived and also killed his wife who was 3 months pregnant. He was passing 3 cars, crossing over double yellow line, hit my parents car head-on.

I've lost loved ones in this highway in a ridgecrest native and would love to see construction done to safer our road,
Some people do drive like idiots though... so you can't blame the road really..

It’s LONG past due! Double lining does not help , it only causes frustration with drivers who are stuck behind big trucks etc... and they pass anyways but with frustration which is not good on the road. I have kids and travel on this road monthly . It scares me to death watching these drivers and hoping they won’t head on to us. Please fix this very busy highway .
