Used to live in Ridgecrest and drove daily for work and to go fishing. Now drive it 6-8 times yearly.last time drove it was packed with traffic and an idiot passed me on my right, on the shoulder and on the WRONG SIDE OF THE HIGHWAY. Ridiculous they haven't expanded 395 by now.

We hate having to drive this dangerous stretch of highway. It seems every time we see one or two vehicles making illegal passes. Several times we have had to slam on our brakes and swerve to the right to avoid an accident. To many lives have been lost to not make this a 4 lane highway.

I drive the 395 at least 4-6 times a month and that portion always terrifies me! People are always in a hurry and pass slower cars all the time hence these terrible head on accidents

My daughter lost her life on December 15, 2017 o. The 395 coming home from work. She had a head on collision with a Stater Bros truck. It is extremely dark in the area between Seneca and Mojave where the accident happened. Something has to be done about this road. How many lives have to be lost before someone in authority say enough let's do something. Instead of the money they want to send n this speedy train, how about improving highways and roads like the 395, Palmdale Rd heading to Palmdale, and the many other like them.

I was forced off the road almost two years ago because the right lane ended and the driver in that lane merged into my lane. I started to slam my breaks and realized he had a trailer and I wouldn’t make it. I went into the the north bound lane and lucky for me I was able to make it back before a car came. I wish they would not have merging lanes. This happened by the Shell gas station. I believe they didn’t know their lane ended. They yelled profanity at me and told me to learn how to drive.

I have seen too many near-collisions on this road. CA14 is being expanded to mostly 4 lane from Mojave to Ridgecrest. US395 needs to follow suit to save lives!
