I was in a head on collision on this road that had me trapped in the car for over an hour. It took help that long to get there. 13 broken bones and internal bleeding- I’m lucky to be alive. Something needs to change!!

I have seen too many near misses. I have had to take shoulder many times to avoid a person passing. I do my best to avoid even going 395

As a lifetime resident around highways 58 and 395, I'm tired of the overwhelming deaths along 395. As our society becomes more pathological and impatient, highway design becomes much more of a safety factor. In the old days, courtesy, self-preservation and common sense helped make the travel safer, but today design must also protect us from crazy drivers.

The State of California has promised for years to widen 395, its about time this promise is kept.

I have to drive this road every time I come to Ridgecrest from the Inland Empire and it's awful. People pass in no-pass zones constantly and it puts everyone in danger. There's plenty of open land to widen the road and it needs to happen. If it wasn't in such a rural area, this problem would have been addressed already.

I have not been on 395 for several years now because mostly I travel on 14. Years ago, I found some drivers very reckless and unsafe on 395. They have been fixing #14. I hope they will do the same with 395. Thank you.

We need more passing lanes. The best result it to turn into 4 lanes. TOO MANY ACCIDENTS!!
