People are being killed on these stretches of highway while the politicians worry about the red tape surrounding endangered wildlife and native artifacts.

I drive this highway all the time and I was shocked when money was spent to widen shoulders and make less 4 lane passing zones. They should have just been making this a 4 lane highway after all the work that was done to make a shoulder space. This is an urgent need.

Im signing because my husband drives the 395 to get to work. Its very dangerous and needs more lanes. Its the main road to get to Reno Nevada where we go to visit family. Very unsafe to drive as it stands now.

Signing this petition because my dad almost lost his life on this hwy. Not his fault it was all because of people with road rage.

My wife and I (in seperate vehicals) drive this strip of highway weekly to work from Shadow Mountain Rd towards Adelanto in the darkness of morning. The anxiety of waiting to find out if my wife made it to work is hard on my nerves to say the least. Almost daily I'm confronted with an impatient, inconsiderate head-on lane passer a-hole when ever I find myself in the lead position of a group of vehicles and white knuckling it at every hill crest. When someone is tailgating me, I will try and ease over when possible to let them pass. Better that impatient driver be lead vehical. Recently lost a GA co-worker who just came off of a maternity leave / newly wed, so sad for his family! Where are the aircraft patrol that would help CHP catch these a-holes until some type of divider is put in place? Sorry for the rant folks, just please be safe and consider other's....

This is probably one of the most dangerous routes in the high desert. It needs to be a minimum of 4 lanes with a barrier in the middle. The amount of traffic that uses it now far exceeds what this road was built for years ago.

More CHP presence is warranted as are graphic billboards showing the results of head on collisions on this highway.
Apparently too many drivers are either stupid or believe in immortality.
