Save Lives On 395

Please add additional lanes. The accident last night was horrific and my heart goes out to the families of the two who passed away. I also witnessed multiple cars crossing double yellow lines to pass extremely slow vehicles. I would pay a toll to fund the expansion of this outdated road.

I live on 395 in Johannesburg. The things I see everyday disgusts me. Half the drivers out there should not even be allowed on the road. People need to stop being in a hurry to kill innocent people,that's the way I see it. There is no reason unless it's an emergency to do stupid things. Even then call later enforcement or paramedics if you have to.But to pass in no passsing zones or cross double yellows is BS. You endanger everyone around you. Please pay attention to what you are doing and save innocent lives. And definitely make it a 4 lane hiway.

Our community is getting slaughtered on this road and there's a simple solution. Please widen the road!

Please add more lanes. There has been way too many accidents and deaths from this two lane road. How many mkre must die before something is done? The accident with two fatalities last night was insane. Took me five hours to gdt home and I work today on three hours sleep which is also dangerous. Please make more lanes and a divider between directions. So sad

I sat for 5 hours due to highway 395 being closed (both directions) because of an accident on 11-24-2018. That was nothing compared to the people who lost their lives. My prayers go out to them and their families. We need action now !

Live in So Cal. Won't drive this road until it is turned into 4 lanes.

I have traveled this highway between Bishop and Adelanto for over 50 years. I have seen numerous fatal accidents on this highway. The stretch between Kramer Junction and Adelanto is the worse. I now avoid this stretch by going to Barstow from Kramer Junction and then take the 15 freeway to LA.

I drive along the 395 every day and I feel unsafe , Scared of someone just hitting me head on

It has been decades but (one set of) my great grandparents died in an accident somewhere on on 395. The lives of the family members that were left behind were NEVER the same.

They have been talking about improvements for too long. Lost my Mom on this stretch of road.

Add more lanes is the simple and safe solution. 65 mph for cars and 55 mph for trucks makes no since. Only dumb highway planners and politicians thought this would work. Nope!

PLEASE SAVE LIVES BY WIDENING THE 395...IT ALSO NEEDS A DIVIDER BETWEEN THE TWO LANES..THIS IS SO DANGEROUS...

We have been traveling this hwy for 40 years. We’ve seen numerable accidents and know people who have been killed or maimed for life. We talk about the dangers of this hwy every time we drive it. The state of California and the County of San Bernardino should consider making it a toll road to help offset the costs of widening the 80 miles. Also, a CHP presence both by air and road is really needed.
