I have been subject to being forced to pull off to the shoulders so many times on 395. It needs to be widened with a divider!

We moved to Ridgecrest and worry anytime our family members come to see us. I hate when we have to travel on this road and there is no alternative. We had a near head on collision when a truck passed a semi truck on a no pass zone. It’s frightening to see headlights appear from behind a truck. The passing areas are in strange places too.

This highway is the most dangerous highway I have ever driven on , I can’t count on my fingers how many times I have feared my life and husband and childs just because of how terribly built the highway is and no one cares to fix it to help save lives and make our area safer to drive to . Especially with all the dips and unforeseen passing areas it’s the most dangerous of all . I really hope after the fatalities last night that were caused on this road that someone does a damn thing about this !!! What more do they need to happen to make a change ???

I have been in numerous close calls on this road, and have lost loved ones due to unsafe drivers.

The State legislators need to stop stealing the funds from the highway funds and fix the roads too many people dying on 395 San Bernardino County

Its not just people making illegal lane changes. There are places on this road that dip enough you can't see a low car like a corvette and often include blind curves, yet are marked as passing areas. There are also long stretches of flat areas marked as double yellow. They need to resurvey the whole road and review how the lanes are marked.

Every time I travel 395 I see impatient and reckless drivers decide that getting ahead of a couple cars by going over double yellow lines is more important than safety. You can't make people smarter but you can make this road safer by adding lanes! How many people need to die before it changes?
