It is my prayer that common sense and human decency will prevail and she will be released to mount a proper trial to clear her name. it seems mis-carriage of justice is very hard to overturn in the USA, because the authorities do not want to loose face, this is really sad in country called the land of the free, how ironic.

The incompetence of her lawyer is ridiculous, she was neglected the right for her rights to be explained to her. Speculation shouldn't be enough to convict let alone sentence someone to death. Please re-look at the circumstances and evidence of this case.

BARBARIC. I can think of no other words to describe this fiasco. I work on the fringes of legal issues and so many good cases fail through incompetence and lack of time and effort by lawyers. Wipe the slate clean

Please ensure that this lady receives justice, and her right to competent representation, a fair hearing, and reprieve from a sentence of such magnitude and finality that it would be an outrageous and criminal act for any decent human being, let alone US citizen to support and condone it given what has happened to her. Please, as a nation that we look to for enlightened, Christian justice and honorable protection of human rights, give this lady a chance, and consider if perhaps the years of her life on death row in such suspicious circumstances might, if her innocence can be proven, represent an appalling crime against her by your legal justice system, which surely has to take issue with the proceedings outlined on the web in her behalf.

I watched the channel 4 documentary on Linda Cartyis & felt very sad. I truely do not believe she has been given a fair case. This lady needs to be saved. This needs a retrial. To give this lady the death sentence is a crime in its self!

As a Criminal Justice student at Liverpool John Mores University I have studied and learnt much surrounding criminal cases like Linda's. It is appalling to witness such a miscarriage of justice at the hands of a legal system that has severely let-down a person which regardless of her guilt or innocence did not receive a fair trial. Her story is unique and underpins everything that is wrong and corrupt about the legal system, not only in Texas but even primarily in the UK with some convicted murderers, who have committed even more horrific crimes than Linda, being given shorter sentences, and nothing close to capital punishment. A re-trial is the only morally acceptable and ethical thing in this case.

As an English solicitor who has worked in criminal defence, I am appalled by the conduct of Linda's attorney and management of her case before and at the trial.
The evidence against Linda is weak. Linda should not only be spared the death penalty but she should be allowed to appeal against her conviction.
